TAF Management Council Meeting
TAF MC met at Islamabad to discuss the work plan for 2025

During a recent meeting of the Management Council of the Tech Advisory Forum, discussions centered on the work plan for the year. One of the Key items that came for discussion was development of a comprehensive scorecard for assessing digital advancements in Pakistan. The Council emphasized the importance of leveraging global indices alongside baseline data from the ADB Digital Ecosystem Diagnostic study.
The MC noted that having sectoral digital plans was of key importance in setting priorities in leading sectors like Agriculture, Energy, Education and health; starting particularly with the enabling regulations for integration of technology into our agriculture, e.g., the digitalization of agricultural value chains involves using digital technologies to improve efficiency, transparency, and sustainability across the entire process from farm to consumer Furthermore, the anticipated implementation of the Digital Nation Pakistan Act was recognized as a pivotal step in accelerating the nation’s digital progress and its likely contributions to the GDP in the coming years.
The forthcoming establishment of the Digital Pakistan Authority, projected for the third quarter of 2025, was highlighted as a critical milestone in supporting our digital Journey. The MC also noted the importance of fostering robust policy frameworks that can be pivotal advancing digital development across the country.
